Bible Verses about 'Foot'

I cried out, “I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.When I said, “My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, Yahweh, held me up.
Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.Don’t turn to the right hand nor to the left. Remove your foot from evil.
He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.
But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold. For I have stayed on God’s paths; I have followed his ways and not turned aside. But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out like gold. My foot has held fast to his steps. I have kept his way, and not turned away.
But I say, do not make any vows! Do not say, ‘By heaven!’ because heaven is God’s throne. And do not say, ‘By the earth!’ because the earth is his footstool. And do not say, ‘By Jerusalem!’ for Jerusalem is the city of the great King. But I tell you, don’t swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God; nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean! He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot. You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.Establish my footsteps in your word. Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me.
And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil.
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.
You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.
Keep the Sabbath day holy. Don’t pursue your own interests on that day, but enjoy the Sabbath and speak of it with delight as the Lord’s holy day. Honor the Sabbath in everything you do on that day, and don’t follow your own desires or talk idly. Then the Lord will be your delight. I will give you great honor and satisfy you with the inheritance I promised to your ancestor Jacob. I, the Lord, have spoken!“If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of Yahweh honorable, and honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, then you will delight yourself in Yahweh, and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth, and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father;” for Yahweh’s mouth has spoken it.
For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps.
People with understanding control their anger; a hot temper shows great foolishness. He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a quick temper displays folly.
Give us today the food we need.Give us today our daily bread.
A wise child brings joy to a father; a foolish child brings grief to a mother.A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son brings grief to his mother.
Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back.A fool vents all of his anger, but a wise man brings himself under control.
But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling. It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling.
Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”
Wise words bring approval, but fools are destroyed by their own words. The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious; but a fool is swallowed by his own lips.
Fools’ words get them into constant quarrels; they are asking for a beating.A fool’s lips come into strife, and his mouth invites beatings.
Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble. One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.
If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn’t bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man’s religion is worthless.
The wise are glad to be instructed, but babbling fools fall flat on their faces. The wise in heart accept commandments, but a chattering fool will fall.
Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.A fool has no delight in understanding, but only in revealing his own opinion.

Hiding hatred makes you a liar; slandering others makes you a fool.He who hides hatred has lying lips. He who utters a slander is a fool.
