So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. | There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. |
I never shrank back from telling you what you needed to hear, either publicly or in your homes. | And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house. |

Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you! | Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. |
This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another. | For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. |
I’m not asking you to take them out of the world, but to keep them safe from the evil one. | I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. |
So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless. | Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity. |
The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. | But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. |
Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. | Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. | Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. |
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. | My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. |
Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them. | Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. |
And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” | And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. |
But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth. | The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. |
So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. | Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. |

But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. | But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. |

The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever. | The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. |
I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.” | O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee. |
But Lord, you remain the same forever! Your throne continues from generation to generation. | Thou, O Lord, remainest for ever; thy throne from generation to generation. |

Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father. | I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. |
For you are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory. | Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. |
The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the Lord. | Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord. |
