Fruit of spirit and holy spirit (4/4)

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit. But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.
There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call. For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.
Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance. For I know that as you pray for me and the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will lead to my deliverance.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”One day when the crowds were being baptized, Jesus himself was baptized. As he was praying, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”
And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.
Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith?I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.
And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him.Asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God.
Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!
Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.
This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
One's pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor.
