- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
a broken and a contrite heart,
O God, thou wilt not despise. - A wholesome tongue is a tree of life:
but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. - Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord,
and whose hope the Lord is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,
and shall not see when heat cometh,
but her leaf shall be green;
and shall not be careful in the year of drought,
neither shall cease from yielding fruit. - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,

for thou art my God:
thy spirit is good;
lead me into the land of uprightness. - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
