God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. | God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. |

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. | Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. |
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. | Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. |
The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. | And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. |
Until the Spirit is poured out upon us from on high, And the wilderness becomes a fertile field, And the fertile field is considered as a forest. | Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. |

Beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory. | And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. |
For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons and daughters by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” | For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. |
God blesses us, So that all the ends of the earth may fear Him. | God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. |
For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” | For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. |
Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. | Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. |
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. | For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. |
For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. | For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. |
