| Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. | For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. |
| Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.” | God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food.” |

| For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.” | For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.” |
| These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. | But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. |
| Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. | Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. |
| The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. | The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. |
| This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. | In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples. |

| So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? | He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you and does miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith? |
| God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. | God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. |
| If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. | If you walk in my statutes and keep my commandments, and do them, then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. |

| And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. | But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit. |
| The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us. | He who keeps his commandments remains in him, and he in him. By this we know that he remains in us, by the Spirit which he gave us. |
| Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. | Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. |
| And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. | With all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints. |
| And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. | But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. |
| And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. | It will be that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. |
