- The Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
the Lord loves the righteous. - If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
- I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
- Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need.
- But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
- Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart. - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever. - May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed. - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
- Fools give full vent to their rage,
but the wise bring calm in the end. - If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
- Give careful thought to the paths for your feet
and be steadfast in all your ways. - Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.
- I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. - Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done. - But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.
- But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
- Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.
- A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
- Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
- Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God.
- Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
- But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
- But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
- And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever.
This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.
