- My soul thirsts for God, for the living God;
When shall I come and appear before God? - As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our wrongdoings from us. - I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
As much as in all riches. - May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers; may He not leave us nor forsake us.
- And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as He did upon us at the beginning.
- But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
- The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
- For it is written:
“As I live, says the Lord, to Me every knee will bow,
And every tongue will give praise to God.” - I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.
- Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His.
- For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
- Therefore let’s make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience.
- We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.
- Seek good and not evil, so that you may live;
And so may the Lord God of armies be with you,
Just as you have said! - For who is God, except the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
- As sorrowful yet always rejoicing, as poor yet making many rich, as having nothing and yet possessing all things.
- So you are to know in your heart that the Lord your God was disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son.
- Beloved, let’s love one another; for love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
- If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all people.
- And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them.
- “Come now, and let us debate your case,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They shall become as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be like wool.” - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
