| For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. | For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building. |
| Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? | Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? |

| If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. | If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are. |
| For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. | For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing. |
| Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering. | So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. |
| But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. | But I say to you, take no oath at all, neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God, nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. |
| For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. | For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. |
| But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. | But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of God’s grace. |
| And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. | And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. |
| In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. | By this the love of God was revealed in us, that God has sent His only Son into the world so that we may live through Him. |
| But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. | But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. |
| There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. | Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. |
| The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. | The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. |
| And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. | May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the perseverance of Christ. |
| The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. | The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God. |
| Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. | Therefore, since He has been exalted at the right hand of God, and has received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father, He has poured out this which you both see and hear. |
| Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? | Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” |
| He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. | The one who has the Son has the life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. |
| Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone. | So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone. |
| Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high. | And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. |
| Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children. | Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. |
| As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. | Act as free people, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bond-servants of God. |
| For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse. | For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, being understood by what has been made, so that they are without excuse. |
| And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. | And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. |
| Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. | Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written: “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. |
