- And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
- So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done.”
- Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever. - Whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
- But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference.
- Then you will understand righteousness and justice,
Equity and every good path. - A merry heart does good, like medicine,
But a broken spirit dries the bones. - Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.
- Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity! - The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him. - He who finds a wife finds a good thing,
And obtains favor from the Lord. - For there is not a just man on earth who does good
And does not sin. - That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
- How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!” - Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor. - The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. - For
“He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
- Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
- For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so. - Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
- Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
- And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
- Seek good and not evil,
That you may live;
So the Lord God of hosts will be with you,
As you have spoken.
