- Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
- But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference.
- Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
- For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
- And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
- A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
And a word spoken in due season, how good it is! - Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression,
But a good word makes it glad. - That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
- Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
- But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
- See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
- But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
- Learn to do good;
Seek justice,
Rebuke the oppressor;
Defend the fatherless,
Plead for the widow. - Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
- Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
- Good and upright is the Lord;
Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.
The humble He guides in justice,
And the humble He teaches His way. - Eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality.
- But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.
- He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God? - Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
- And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
- Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
- But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
- If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!
- He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
He who keeps understanding will find good.
