- And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
- Turn away from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it. - Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.
- The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
- Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
- Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
- Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good?
- Trust in the Lord, and do good;
dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. - Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
- Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have no good apart from you.” - Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever! - Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path. - Behold, how good and pleasant it is
when brothers dwell in unity! - Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
- But test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.
- A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - The Lord is good,
a stronghold in the day of trouble;
he knows those who take refuge in him. - The young lions suffer want and hunger;
but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. - For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things. - He who finds a wife finds a good thing
and obtains favor from the Lord. - How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness,
who publishes salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” - Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
- For “Whoever desires to love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit;
let him turn away from evil and do good;
let him seek peace and pursue it.”
To make an apt answer is a joy to a man,
and a word in season, how good it is!He only is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.Next verse!With image
