- I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
- And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
- Depart from evil, and do good;
seek peace, and pursue it. - Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
- A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
- Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
- Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
- And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
- Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. - Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
- O taste and see that the Lord is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him. - O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good;
for his mercy endureth for ever. - Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
- Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment,
and equity; yea, every good path. - How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
that publisheth peace;
that bringeth good tidings of good,
that publisheth salvation;
that saith unto Zion,
Thy God reigneth! - Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
- The Lord is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him. - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones. - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity! - The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. - Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing,
and obtaineth favour of the Lord. - Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
- For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
- O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord:
my goodness extendeth not to thee. - Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.Next verse!With image
