| You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. | For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. |
| For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.” | For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. |

| Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. | Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. |
| The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” | And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. |

| Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. | And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. |
| But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. | But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. |
