Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. They wove thorn branches into a crown and put it on his head, and they placed a reed stick in his right hand as a scepter. Then they knelt before him in mockery and taunted, “Hail! King of the Jews!”
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.
“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”“The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!”
From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”
The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.” Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.“All right, you may test him,” the Lord said to Satan. “Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the Lord’s presence.
Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in forced labor.Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave.

But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!
