And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God. - And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” - And if we are careful to obey all this law before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, that will be our righteousness.
- Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
- But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
- For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.
- Now all has been heard;

Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind. - Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
