- And he answered them, “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.”
- Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
- No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
- Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. - But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him” - He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
- No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also.
- Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding,
but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly. - This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it. - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
- And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
- Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.
- No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
- Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”
- Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
- By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
- Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord! - Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
- God is not man, that he should lie,
or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? - There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
- As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. - Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
- Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be made known in all the earth. - Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.
