- My lips will shout for joy,
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have redeemed. - Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward.
- I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have being. - For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
- Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
- For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.
- For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
- I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
- And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
- What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
