- Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
For His faithfulness is everlasting. - Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
- But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”
- Let the wicked abandon his way,
And the unrighteous person his thoughts;
And let him return to the Lord,
And He will have compassion on him,
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon. - And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
- And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit.” And having said this, He died.
- And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- Yet as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
And at the last, He will take His stand on the earth. - He was despised and abandoned by men,
A man of great pain and familiar with sickness;
And like one from whom people hide their faces,
He was despised, and we had no regard for Him. - As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our wrongdoings from us. - Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”
- I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
- He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, without the possibility that mankind will find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.
- The steps of a man are established by the Lord,
And He delights in his way. - However, it was our sicknesses that He Himself bore,
And our pains that He carried;
Yet we ourselves assumed that He had been afflicted,
Struck down by God, and humiliated. - And having been perfected, He became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey Him.
- Now Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led around by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He was hungry.
- And in Hades he raised his eyes, being in torment, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his arms. And he cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.’
- He will again take pity on us;
He will trample on our wrongdoings.
Yes, You will cast all their sins
Into the depths of the sea. - The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble,
And He knows those who take refuge in Him. - So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- For the Lord is our judge,
The Lord is our lawgiver,
The Lord is our king;
He will save us. - And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of people.”
- Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has chosen for His own inheritance. - So the other disciple who had first come to the tomb also entered then, and he saw and believed. For they did not yet understand the Scripture, that He must rise from the dead.
