- And the Lord is the One who is going ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not desert you or abandon you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed.
- The Lord is with you when you are with Him. And if you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you abandon Him, He will abandon you.
- So he was there with the Lord for forty days and forty nights; he did not eat bread or drink water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
- And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He proves to be One who rewards those who seek Him.
- Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of armies,
He is the King of glory. Selah - Submit therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body, which is being given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
- Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
He will bring out your righteousness as the light,
And your judgment as the noonday. - The Rock! His work is perfect,
For all His ways are just;
A God of faithfulness and without injustice,
Righteous and just is He. - But He knows the way I take;
When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold.
My foot has held on to His path;
I have kept His way and not turned aside. - May He grant you your heart’s desire
And fulfill your whole plan! - And because the midwives feared God, He established households for them.
- Delight yourself in the Lord;
And He will give you the desires of your heart. - No one is to say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.
- What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?
- The Lord God is my strength,
And He has made my feet like deer’s feet,
And has me walk on my high places. - And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
- So we fasted and sought our God concerning this matter, and He listened to our pleading.
- But He was pierced for our offenses,
He was crushed for our wrongdoings;
The punishment for our well-being was laid upon Him,
And by His wounds we are healed. - My son, do not reject the discipline of the Lord
Or loathe His rebuke,
For whom the Lord loves He disciplines,
Just as a father disciplines the son in whom he delights. - The Lord also restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the Lord increased double all that Job had.
- Hate evil, you who love the Lord,
Who watches over the souls of His godly ones;
He saves them from the hand of the wicked. - For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
He will glorify the lowly with salvation. - Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. - Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope set on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
