- Gracious words are like a honeycomb,
sweetness to the soul and health to the body. - Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
- Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh
and refreshment to your bones. - But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”
- You shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.
- He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds. - A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. - Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
- Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.
- Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God. - Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.
- Remove vexation from your heart, and put away pain from your body, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
- For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
- Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”Next verse! With image
