So you are to know in your heart that the Lord your God was disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son.You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you.
Many plans are in a person’s heart, But the advice of the Lord will stand.There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand.
Take care, brothers and sisters, that there will not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.
My son, pay attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. They are not to escape from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart.My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart.
Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
