Bible Verses about 'Himself'

  • Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
  • Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.
  • So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.
  • The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.
  • Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
  • And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
  • Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
  • Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
  • Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
  • When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
  • The generous soul will be made rich,
    And he who waters will also be watered himself.
  • Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
  • That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
  • Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
  • Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.
  • But “he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
  • Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
  • Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
  • A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself;
    The simple pass on and are punished.
  • How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
  • Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word.
  • I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
  • And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
  • “Can anyone hide himself in secret places,
    So I shall not see him?” says the Lord;
    “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord.
  • Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone.

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.
