but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
- He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- Know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
- And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.”
