- And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
- Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,
who walks in his ways! - Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name! - For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
- I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
- You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him.
- The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.
- With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor,
but by knowledge the righteous are delivered. - Whoever keeps the commandment keeps his life;
he who despises his ways will die. - He sent out his word and healed them,
and delivered them from their destruction. - He who walks blamelessly and does what is right
and speaks truth in his heart;
who does not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor takes up a reproach against his friend. - I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth. - The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. - The Lord is slow to anger and great in power,
and the Lord will by no means clear the guilty.
His way is in whirlwind and storm,
and the clouds are the dust of his feet. - But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
- Blessed are those who keep his testimonies,
who seek him with their whole heart. - For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - For the Lord takes pleasure in his people;
he adorns the humble with salvation. - The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous
and his ears toward their cry. - Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised,
and his greatness is unsearchable. - If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.
- A wise son makes a glad father,
but a foolish son is a sorrow to his mother. - His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.
- So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
- For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it.
