- I will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to you.
- And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”
- Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
- The one who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! - Even to your old age I am he,
even when you turn gray I will carry you.
I have made, and I will bear;
I will carry and will save. - Do not fear, for I am with you,
do not be afraid, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. - Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!”
- Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
- I am coming soon; hold fast to what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.
- If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
- For I am not ashamed of the gospel; it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
- The Lord is my strength and my shield;
in him my heart trusts;
so I am helped, and my heart exults,
and with my song I give thanks to him. - See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone's work.
- He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
- I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one.
- I was ready to be sought out by those who did not ask,
to be found by those who did not seek me.
I said, “Here I am, here I am,”
to a nation that did not call on my name. - Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.
- In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I am not afraid;
what can flesh do to me? - Return, faithless Israel,
says the Lord.
I will not look on you in anger,
for I am merciful,
says the Lord;
I will not be angry forever. - Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.
- Who has performed and done this,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord, am first,
and will be with the last. - I the Lord am your God; follow my statutes, and be careful to observe my ordinances, and hallow my sabbaths that they may be a sign between me and you, so that you may know that I the Lord am your God.
- You shall be holy to me; for I the Lord am holy, and I have separated you from the other peoples to be mine.
- I, I am he who comforts you;
why then are you afraid of a mere mortal who must die,
a human being who fades like grass? - No one, when tempted, should say, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil and he himself tempts no one.
