I can do all (2/4)

  • What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
  • And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
  • Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.
  • If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
  • Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter or your male servant or your female servant, or your ox or your donkey or any of your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
  • Let all that you do be done in love.
  • Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
  • And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
  • If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
  • My mouth is filled with your praise,
    and with your glory all the day.
  • And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
  • For we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.
  • “All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
  • For the customs of the peoples are vanity.
    A tree from the forest is cut down
    and worked with an axe by the hands of a craftsman.
    They decorate it with silver and gold;
    they fasten it with hammer and nails
    so that it cannot move.
    Their idols are like scarecrows in a cucumber field,
    and they cannot speak;
    they have to be carried,
    for they cannot walk.
    Do not be afraid of them,
    for they cannot do evil,
    neither is it in them to do good.
  • “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
  • And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
  • The Lord is near to all who call on him,
    to all who call on him in truth.
  • For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
  • The Lord is righteous in all his ways
    and kind in all his works.
  • And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
  • And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
  • The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom,
    and whatever you get, get insight.
  • Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
  • It does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
  • And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.
