- But this thing I commanded them, saying, ‘Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. Walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’
- Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great and difficult things, which you don’t know.
- I have hidden your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you. - That I may come to you in joy through the will of God, and together with you, find rest.
- I spread out my hands to you.
My soul thirsts for you, like a parched land. Selah. - “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.”
- Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you. But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat.
- I acknowledged my sin to you.
I didn’t hide my iniquity.
I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh,
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah. - Where could I go from your Spirit?
Or where could I flee from your presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, you are there.
If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! - How I didn’t shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house.
- God, you are my God.
I will earnestly seek you.
My soul thirsts for you.
My flesh longs for you,
in a dry and weary land, where there is no water. - Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
- I will be glad and rejoice in you.
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - Then Jesus said, “I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.”
- If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
- I will exalt you, my God, the King.
I will praise your name forever and ever. - You adulterers and adulteresses, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning,
for I trust in you.
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
for I lift up my soul to you. - I will give thanks to you with uprightness of heart,
when I learn your righteous judgments. - I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
- ‘Return, you backsliding Israel,’ says Yahweh; ‘I will not look in anger on you, for I am merciful,’ says Yahweh. ‘I will not keep anger forever.’
- Because your loving kindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise you.
So I will bless you while I live.
I will lift up my hands in your name. - Since you have been precious and honored in my sight,
and I have loved you,
therefore I will give people in your place,
and nations instead of your life. - Heal me, O Yahweh, and I will be healed.
Save me, and I will be saved;
for you are my praise. - Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”
