If (2/4)

  • If you know me,
then you will know my Father also.
From now on you do know him.
    You have seen him.
  • And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do as much.
  • If you abide in me
and my words abide in you,
you may ask for whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you.
  • Let us never grow weary in doing what is right, for if we do not give up, we will reap our harvest in due time.
  • If I give away everything to feed the poor
and hand over my body to be burned,
    but do not have love,
    I achieve nothing.
  • No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
    God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us.
  • For we will become partners with Christ only if we maintain firmly until the end the confidence we originally had.
  • If we claim that we have fellowship with him
while we continue to live in darkness,
we are lying and do not live in the truth.
  • I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.
  • But if you seek the Lord, your God, and you strive with all your heart and your soul, you will find him there.
  • However, if we confess our sins,
he who is faithful and just
    will forgive our sins
and cleanse us from all wrongdoing.
  • For the Lord, your God, is gracious and compassionate, and he will not turn his face away from you if you return to him.
  • So if I, your Lord and Teacher,
    have washed your feet,
you also should wash one another’s feet.
  • If someone among you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
  • And thus we can have confidence in him
    that if we ask anything
that is in accordance with his will,
    he hears us.
  • Jesus answered them, “Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to this fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be accomplished.”
  • In my Father’s house
    there are many dwelling places.
    If there were not,
    would I have told you
that I am going to prepare a place for you?
  • And if we know that he hears us
in regard to whatever we ask him,
    we may be sure
that all we ask of him will be ours.
  • Yet even if you should suffer for doing what is right, you are thereby blessed. Have no fear of others, and refuse to be intimidated by them.
  • If I have the gift of prophecy
and the ability to understand all mysteries and all knowledge,
and have all the faith necessary to move mountains,
    but do not have love,
    I am nothing.
  • If you confess with your lips, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
  • If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person. For the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple.
  • As much as possible, and to the extent of your ability, live in peace with everyone.
  • And if one should fall,
his companion will help him up.
How pathetic is the man who is alone and falls
and has no one to assist him to his feet.
  • If you keep my commandments,
you will remain in my love,
just as I have kept my Father’s commandments
    and remain in his love.

Let no one delude himself. If anyone among you considers himself to be wise by worldly standards, he must become a fool in order to be truly wise.
