- And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
- The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad. - How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity! - Above all else, guard your heart,

- No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
- So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
- And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
- You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
- What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?

but every fool is quick to quarrel. - For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
- The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
- You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
