- You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
- But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
- For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
- For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
- Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
- Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the whole world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God. - That God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
- So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that “An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that “There is no God but one.”
- Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil,
but those who promote peace have joy. - Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
- He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak. - A wise son brings joy to his father,
but a foolish son brings grief to his mother. - Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
- The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing. - Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil. - I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
- Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord. - Gracious words are a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. - Your statutes are my heritage forever;
they are the joy of my heart. - I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.” - So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.
- My soul yearns for you in the night;
in the morning my spirit longs for you.
When your judgments come upon the earth,
the people of the world learn righteousness. - You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand. - See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
- Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans.
Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:
He appeared in the flesh,
was vindicated by the Spirit,
was seen by angels,
was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,
was taken up in glory.If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.Next verse!With image
