Chinese (traditional)- Who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
- No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
- How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him who brings good news,
who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness,
who publishes salvation,
who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” - By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
and by the breath of his mouth all their host. - And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
- Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
- In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
- Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
- As he came from his mother's womb he shall go again, naked as he came, and shall take nothing for his toil that he may carry away in his hand.
- And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
- Blessed is the one
whose transgression is forgiven,
whose sin is covered. - Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
- For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
- Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.
- There is none holy like the Lord:
for there is none besides you;
there is no rock like our God. - And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.
- For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - Behold, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - What is desired in a man is steadfast love,
and a poor man is better than a liar. - Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. - The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
- Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
- This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God?
