- However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.

Loving favor rather than silver and gold. - For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
- Then Jesus said to them, “I shall be with you a little while longer, and then I go to Him who sent Me.”
- Blessed be the Lord,
Who daily loads us with benefits,
The God of our salvation! Selah - He who gets wisdom loves his own soul;
He who keeps understanding will find good. - Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- Now John himself was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
- Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.

- But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
- Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
