Bible Verses about 'LUKE 2:11'

  • To you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.
  • Joseph also went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was descended from the house and family of David. He went to be registered with Mary, to whom he was engaged and who was expecting a child.
  • While they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
  • But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people.”
  • Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace among those whom he favors!
  • The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.
  • In reply he said to them, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise.”
  • Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.”
  • Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing at all during those days, and when they were over, he was famished.
  • The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
    because he has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free.
  • I have come to call not the righteous but sinners to repentance.
  • Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you, revile you, and defame you on account of the Son of Man.
  • But I say to you that listen, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
  • Give to everyone who begs from you; and if anyone takes away your goods, do not ask for them again.
  • If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
  • Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
  • Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
  • Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.
  • The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.
  • No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.
  • When Jesus heard this, he replied, “Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved.”
  • And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed and broke them, and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. And all ate and were filled. What was left over was gathered up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.
  • Then he said to them all, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
  • For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake will save it.
  • And said to them, “Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me; for the least among all of you is the greatest.”

Cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
