- I will not leave you orphans;
I will come to you. - May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us.
- For this reason
a man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife,
and the two shall become one flesh. - Peace I leave with you,
my peace I give to you.
Not as the world gives
do I give it to you.
Do not let your hearts be troubled;
be not afraid. - Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified of them, for the Lord, your God, is going forth with you. He will never leave you or abandon you.
- Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”
- I came from the Father
and have come into the world.
Now I am leaving the world
and returning to the Father. - Do not let kindness and fidelity leave you;
fasten them around your neck
and inscribe them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will gain favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man. - But from the very beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh.’ And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.
- Do not be afraid or dismayed, the Lord will go before you; he will not fail or forsake you.
- He replied, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said: ‘That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh’? And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
- Therefore, let us leave behind the basic teaching about Christ and advance toward maturity. We must not be forever laying the foundation: repentance for actions that lead to death, faith in God, instruction about baptisms and the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
- The Lord God then formed a woman out of the rib that he had taken from the man. He brought her before the man.
The man said,
“This one is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh.
She shall be called woman
because she was taken from man.”
This is why a man leaves his father and his mother and joins with a wife, and the two become one flesh. - The Lord is slow to anger but great in power,
and he will never allow the guilty
to escape punishment.
He makes his way in whirlwind and storm,
and the clouds are the dust beneath his feet. - And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Advocate
to be with you forever. - Train a child in the way he should go,
and he will not deviate from it, even in old age. - Their eyes were opened and they realized that they were naked. They took fig leaves and sewed them together, making themselves a covering.
- For we brought nothing into this world, and we can take nothing out. If we have food and clothing, let us be content with these.
- Now we know that if the earthly tent in which we live is destroyed, we have a dwelling prepared for us by God, a dwelling in the heavens, not made with human hands, that will be eternal.
- Then Job arose, tore his cloak, and shaved his head. He threw himself prostrate on the ground and said:
“Naked I emerged from my mother’s womb,
and naked I will return.

blessed be the name of the Lord.” - Blessed are those who trust in the Lord
and whose hope is the Lord.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that spreads out its roots to the stream.
When the heat comes, it does not fear;
its leaves stay green.
It is not concerned in a year of drought,
and it never fails to bear fruit.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts:
he is the King of glory. Selah Love does not rejoice over wrongdoing
but rejoices in the truth.
Love bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.Next verse!With image
