- For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and that at the last he will stand upon the earth. - We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us—and we ought to lay down our lives for one another.

- All who obey his commandments abide in him, and he abides in them. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit that he has given us.
- So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. - He humbled you by letting you hunger, then by feeding you with manna, with which neither you nor your ancestors were acquainted, in order to make you understand that one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
- You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.
- Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
- But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.
- For thus says the high and lofty one
who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
I dwell in the high and holy place,
and also with those who are contrite and humble in spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble,
and to revive the heart of the contrite. - Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them.
- Even though you intended to do harm to me, God intended it for good, in order to preserve a numerous people, as he is doing today.
- And the world and its desire are passing away, but those who do the will of God live forever.
- God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God.
- The end of all things is near; therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers.
- He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is a shield to those who walk blamelessly. - The Lord redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned. - For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have come to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority.
- If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you.
- Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear to my cry;
do not hold your peace at my tears.
For I am your passing guest,
an alien, like all my forebears. - Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
- Our steps are made firm by the Lord,
when he delights in our way. - Wealth is a ransom for a person's life,
but the poor get no threats. - I know that there is nothing better for them than to be happy and enjoy themselves as long as they live; moreover, it is God's gift that all should eat and drink and take pleasure in all their toil.
- If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit.
- Live by the Spirit, I say, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh.
- But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- As they came from their mother's womb, so they shall go again, naked as they came; they shall take nothing for their toil, which they may carry away with their hands.

Their spirit is not right in them,
but the righteous live by their faith. - Because you are precious in my sight,
and honored, and I love you,
I give people in return for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - Therefore rid yourselves of all sordidness and rank growth of wickedness, and welcome with meekness the implanted word that has the power to save your souls.
- Then the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our lasting good, so as to keep us alive, as is now the case.
- You must follow exactly the path that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live, and that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land that you are to possess.
- Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right,
and speak the truth from their heart;
who do not slander with their tongue,
and do no evil to their friends,
nor take up a reproach against their neighbors. - To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
- By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.
- Do not forsake your friend or the friend of your parent;
do not go to the house of your kindred in the day of your calamity.
Better is a neighbor who is nearby
than kindred who are far away. - Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body.
- For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.
- Do all things without murmuring and arguing, so that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, in which you shine like stars in the world. It is by your holding fast to the word of life.
- All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work.
