  • But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.
  • For thus says the One who is high and lifted up,
    who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
    “I dwell in the high and holy place,
    and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,
    to revive the spirit of the lowly,
    and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
  • Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
  • The steps of a man are established by the Lord,
    when he delights in his way.
  • The ransom of a man's life is his wealth,
    but a poor man hears no threat.

I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.
