- But I know that my Redeemer lives,
and that at the end he will stand upon the dust. - This is how we know what love is:
he laid down his life for us,
and we in turn must be prepared
to lay down our lives for our brethren. - Therefore, he has the full power to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to intercede for them.
- And now it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. The life I live now in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself up for me.
- Jesus then said to her,
“I am the resurrection and the life.
Whoever believes in me,
even though he dies, will live,
and everyone who lives
and believes in me
will never die.
Do you believe this?” - The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer.
- He reserves his wisdom for the upright
and is a shield to those who lead blameless lives. - However, whoever lives by the truth
comes to the light
so that it may be clearly seen
that his deeds have been done in God. - The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him;
no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him. - For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to the entire human race. It teaches us to reject godless ways and worldly desires, and in the present age to lead lives that are temperate, just, and godly.
- Whatever moves and has life will be used for your food. I give you all these things, just as I have already given you every green plant. Only do not eat flesh along with its life, that is, with its blood.
- Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he protects the souls of his faithful ones
and rescues them from the hand of the wicked. - He brought you low, allowing you to suffer from hunger. He then fed you with manna, something with which your fathers were not familiar, so that you might come to know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes forth from the mouth of the Lord.
- No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us. - All those who keep his commandments abide in him,
and he abides in them.
And the proof that he abides in us
is the Spirit that he has given us. - We have come to know
and to believe in
the love that God has for us.
God is love,
and whoever abides in love
abides in God,
and God in him. - For thus says the One who is high and exalted,
who lives eternally
and whose name is holy:
I dwell in a high and holy place
but I am with the contrite and the humble,
to revive the spirit of the humble
and to revive the heart of the contrite. - He who guards his mouth makes his life secure,
but one who talks excessively ensures his own downfall. - You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.
- Do you not realize that you are God’s temple, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
- Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood
dwells in me and I dwell in him. - Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”
- You intended to do evil to me, but God decided to make it serve a good, to fulfill that which today has come true: to keep alive a numerous people.
- And the world with all its enticements
is passing away,
but whoever does the will of God
abides forever. - God abides in anyone who acknowledges
that Jesus is the Son of God,
and that person abides in God.
For it is in him that the entire fullness of deity dwells in bodily form, and you share this fullness in him who is the head of every ruler and power.Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. About midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.Next verse! With image
