The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will permit you to find him, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you. 2 Chronicles 15:2b	Yahweh is with you while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you. seeking nearness reliability
Our temporary light afflictions are preparing for us an incomparable weight of eternal glory. 2 Corinthians 4:17	For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory. eternal life suffering encouragement
However, those who want riches fall into temptations and are trapped into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. 1 Timothy 6:9	But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. money greed materialism
I am pulled in opposite directions. My desire is to depart and to be with Christ, for that is far better, but, it is a more urgent need for you that I remain in the body. Philippians 1:23-24	But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Yet to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake. death life
For everything that was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that by perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, we may continue to have hope. Romans 15:4	For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Be mindful, O Lord, that mercy and kindness have been yours from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth or my many transgressions, but remember me in your kindness, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord. But now the righteousness of God that is attested by the Law and the Prophets has been manifested apart from law: the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. No distinction has been made. Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and whose hope is the Lord. They will be like a tree planted by the water that spreads out its roots to the stream. When the heat comes, it does not fear; its leaves stay green. It is not concerned in a year of drought, and it never fails to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8	Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought.
