- The Lord sends poverty and wealth;
he humbles and he exalts. - Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely. - And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
- It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in humans. - Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.
- From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people. - Be strong and take heart,
all you who hope in the Lord. - I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope. - But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
- May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you. - For who is God besides the Lord?
And who is the Rock except our God? - For those who find me find life
and receive favor from the Lord. - The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does. - When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me? - But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
- You, Lord, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into light. - Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near. - The Lord makes firm the steps
of the one who delights in him. - Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord. - Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name. - The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore. - In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the Lord establishes their steps.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.Next verse!With image
