We love him, because he first loved us.Therefore, we love because he first loved us.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.This is what love is: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.

And a voice came from heaven: “You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased.”
