- So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them. - But I will sing of your strength;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been to me a fortress
and a refuge in the day of my distress. - No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
- The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. - Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's field, God's building.
- But I am the Lord your God
from the land of Egypt;
you know no God but me,
and besides me there is no savior. - Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
- Our God is in the heavens;
he does all that he pleases. - Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one.
- “For the mountains may depart
and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
- These things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
- And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
- Behold, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
- God shall bless us;
let all the ends of the earth fear him! - Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
forget not the afflicted. - For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation. - Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called sons of God. - For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him. - God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God.
I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart.If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.Next verse!With image
