- A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold. - But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
- Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous.
- My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God:
when shall I come and appear before God? - And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
- Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

I will guide thee with mine eye. - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
- In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
- Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
- In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.
