- Through him all things came into existence,
and without him there was nothing.
That which came to be. - For just as through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man the many will be made righteous.
- I have made a covenant with my eyes
not to look with desire upon a virgin. - This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us exult and rejoice in it. - The Lord God made clothing for the man and woman out of animal skins and he clothed them.
- He made him who did not know sin to be sin for our sake, so that through him we might become the righteousness of God.
- The heavens were made by the word of the Lord,
and all their host by the breath of his mouth. - Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - And when he had been made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.
- Ah, Lord God, you made the heavens and the earth by your great power and your outstretched arm. Nothing is impossible for you.
- Just as in Adam all die, so all will be brought to life in Christ.
- Even when you reach old age
I will still be the same.
Even when your hair is gray,
I will still carry you.
I have made you and I will uphold you;
I will carry you and save you. - To you, O God of my fathers,
I offer thanks and praise
because you have given me wisdom and power.
Now you have made known to me
what we asked of you;
you have revealed to us the king’s dream. - No one has ever seen God.
It is the only Son, God,
who is at the Father’s side,
who has made him known. - Jesus said to him, “Go on your way! Your faith has made you well.” Immediately, he received his sight and followed him along the road.
- You created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am wonderfully made;
awesome are your works,
as I know very well. - He has made everything suitable for its time, and he has given men a sense of past and future, but they never have the slightest comprehension of what God has wrought from beginning to end.
- I have made your name known to them,
and I will make it known,
so that the love with which you loved me
may be in them, and I in them. - Now we know that if the earthly tent in which we live is destroyed, we have a dwelling prepared for us by God, a dwelling in the heavens, not made with human hands, that will be eternal.
- Ever since the creation of the world the invisible attributes of God’s eternal power and divine nature have been clearly understood and perceived through the things he has made. Therefore, the conduct of these people is inexcusable.
- For so has the Lord commanded us to do, saying,
‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles
so that you may bring salvation
to the farthest corners of the earth.’ - But he answered me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Hence, I will boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell within me.
- I lift up my eyes to the mountains;
from where will I receive help?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. - You have given me the shield of your salvation;
your right hand sustains me,
and your goodness makes me great.
You broadened the path beneath me
so that my feet have never stumbled. - No one has ever seen God,
but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us.
He replied, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said: ‘That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh’? And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.Next verse!With image
