- But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!
- For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.
- For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
- So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

he enables me to tread on the heights. - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
- Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.
- It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.
- Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
- But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.
- If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.
- For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.
Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good. - He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’
- Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man. - Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
- Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
- This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles. - Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
- We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!
I am the Lord your God; follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Keep my Sabbaths holy, that they may be a sign between us. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you.
