| However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. | Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. |
| The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it. | A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished. |
