Behold, happy is the person whom God disciplines, So do not reject the discipline of the Almighty.Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects. Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing And obtains favor from the Lord.Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh.
Avoiding strife is an honor for a person, But any fool will quarrel.It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling.

One who is slow to anger has great understanding; But one who is quick-tempered exalts foolishness.He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a quick temper displays folly.
Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; Do not get upset because of one who is successful in his way, Because of the person who carries out wicked schemes.Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.
A rich person’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own imagination.The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, like an unscalable wall in his own imagination.
Like a city that is broken into and without walls So is a person who has no self-control over his spirit.Like a city that is broken down and without walls is a man whose spirit is without restraint.
He has told you, mortal one, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
The wicked borrows and does not pay back, But the righteous is gracious and gives.The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously.
All day long he is craving, While the righteous gives and does not hold back.There are those who covet greedily all day long; but the righteous give and don’t withhold.
With the faithful You show Yourself faithful; With the blameless You prove Yourself blameless.With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man, you will show yourself perfect.
A person of too many friends comes to ruin, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Nevertheless, as for you individually, each husband is to love his own wife the same as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
Do not envy a violent person, And do not choose any of his ways. For the devious are an abomination to the Lord; But He is intimate with the upright.Don’t envy the man of violence. Choose none of his ways. For the perverse is an abomination to Yahweh, but his friendship is with the upright.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose trust is the Lord. For he will be like a tree planted by the water That extends its roots by a stream, And does not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought, Nor cease to yield fruit.Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose confidence is in Yahweh. For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes, but its leaf will be green, and will not be concerned in the year of drought. It won’t cease from yielding fruit.
