No one is to deceive you in any way! For it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. | Let no one deceive you in any way. He opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself up as God. |

Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty, But humility goes before honor. | Before destruction the heart of man is proud, but before honor is humility. |

All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work. | Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that each person who belongs to God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. |
It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in people. | It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man. |
A person has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word! | Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time! |
Praise the Lord! Blessed is a person who fears the Lord, Who greatly delights in His commandments. | Praise Yah! Blessed is the man who fears Yahweh, who delights greatly in his commandments. |
He who finds a wife finds a good thing And obtains favor from the Lord. | Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. |
For who among people knows the thoughts of a person except the spirit of the person that is in him? So also the thoughts of God no one knows, except the Spirit of God. | For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except God’s Spirit. |
But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.” | But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” |
How much more valuable then is a person than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath. | Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day. |

Every person’s way is right in his own eyes, But the Lord examines the hearts. | Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but Yahweh weighs the hearts. |
Avoiding strife is an honor for a person, But any fool will quarrel. | It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling. |
It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment. | It is well with the man who deals graciously and lends. He will maintain his cause in judgment. |
