- So we may boldly say:
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” - And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
- A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
And a word spoken in due season, how good it is! - Can one walk on hot coals,
And his feet not be seared? - Praise the Lord!
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
Who delights greatly in His commandments. - A fool’s wrath is known at once,
But a prudent man covers shame. - Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again.
- Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain. And the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why do they do what is not lawful on the Sabbath?”
But He said to them, “Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?”
And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.” - Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,
And so find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man. - So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
- For there is not a just man on earth who does good
And does not sin. - The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
But the poor does not hear rebuke. - Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
But the Lord weighs the hearts. - A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself;
The simple pass on and are punished. - But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
- Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects;
Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. - But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
- It is honorable for a man to stop striving,
Since any fool can start a quarrel. - A good man deals graciously and lends;
He will guide his affairs with discretion. - Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
- Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
- Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.
- For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
- Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.
Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.He who guards his mouth preserves his life,
But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.Next verse!With image
