Many (2/2)

  • When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
    but whoever restrains his lips is prudent.
  • For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
  • And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
  • Better is the little that the righteous has
    than the abundance of many wicked.
    For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
    but the Lord upholds the righteous.
  • Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
  • For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
  • Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.
  • A man of many companions may come to ruin,
    but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
  • For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
  • Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
  • Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.
  • His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
  • Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.”
  • But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
  • Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
  • My son, do not forget my teaching,
    but let your heart keep my commandments,
    for length of days and years of life
    and peace they will add to you.
  • I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.
  • Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love,
    for they have been from of old.
    Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
    according to your steadfast love remember me,
    for the sake of your goodness, O Lord!
  • For “Whoever desires to love life
    and see good days,
    let him keep his tongue from evil
    and his lips from speaking deceit;
    let him turn away from evil and do good;
    let him seek peace and pursue it.”
  • Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.”
